What is a similarity between DNA and RNA
jarptica [38.1K]
Let's use process of elimination to answer this question!

D is wrong, and we know this because of the names of DNA and RNA. The D in DNA stands for deoxyribose, and the R in RNA stands for ribose. These are the types of sugars in each nucleic acid. Therefore, they don't both contain a ribose sugar.

C is wrong, and this is because RNA does not contain thymine, but uracil instead.

B is wrong, and we know this because we know that RNA is composed of only one strand, and therefore it is not composed of multiple stands (plural).

Therefore, A must be right. We can confirm this, because we know that polymers are large molecules consisting of repeated subunits. DNA and RNA are both polymers consisting of nucleotides.<span />

There are ongoing arguments among taxonomists as to which phyla represent the closest relatives of phylum Annelida. Some propose
NikAS [45]

Answer:

a. the segmented body plan of the annelids

Explanation:

  • lophotrochozoan is a taxonomy of animals that includes annelids, bryozoans, and brachiopods.
  • This taxonomy of creatures was defined in 1995 as the last ancestor of the taxa of worms, mollusks, and annelids. Their classical definition depends on the topology of the spiral tree of life.
  • Annelids have a segmented body part wherein the external morphological features are repeated in every body segment. It allows the animal to become bigger and makes their movement more fat and efficient.

musickatia [10]

Answer:

Joan Walks \frac{7}{12}miles farther than maria

Explanation:

Given:

Distance walked by Nicole = 1. 11/12 miles

Distance walked by Tasha= 2. 1/12 miles

Distance walked by Maria = 1. 7 /12 miles

Distance walked by Joan = 2. 2/12 miles

To find:

How much farther Joan walks to school  than Maria = ?

Solution:

We can find the distance that Joan walk more than maria by subtraction

Joan distance -  maria distance

here the distance are given in mixed fraction , so lets covert them into fraction and perform subtraction

=> 2\frac{2}{12} - 1 \frac{7}{12}

=>\frac{24+ 2}{12} -  \frac{12 +7}{12}

=>\frac{26}{12} -  \frac{19}{12}

=>\frac{26 - 19}{12}

=>\frac{7}{12}
