Given a right cone with base area b and height h what is the formula for the volume

Solution:

Volume is the measure of amount of liquid or gas(which can take the shape of the vessel) that completely fills the figure(figure being cone here)

Area of base of cone= b

Height of right cone=h

Volume of cone=\frac{1}{3}* area of base of cone * height of cone

=\frac{1}{3}*b*h

=\frac{bh}{3}

If f(x) = 7 + 4x and g(x)=1/2x, what is the value of (f/g)(5)?
Anestetic [448]
f(x)=7+4x;\ g(x)=\dfrac{1}{2}x\\\\\left(\dfrac{f}{g}\right)(x)=\dfrac{f(x)}{g(x)}=\dfrac{7+4x}{\frac{1}{2}x}=\dfrac{2(7+4x)}{x}=\dfrac{14+8x}{x}\\\\\left(\dfrac{f}{g}\right)(5)=\dfrac{f(5)}{g(5)}=\dfrac{14+8\cdot5}{5}=\dfrac{14+40}{5}=\dfrac{54}{5}=10.8

An architect is designing a sandwich shop, as shown in the
STALIN [3.7K]

The length of both rooms is 10 meters and the width for the kitchen is 5 meters, while the one for the dining room is 9 meters.

<h3>How to find the length of the rooms?</h3>

Both rooms have the same length but different areas and different widths. This common measurement can be found using the GFC or the greatest common factor. To do this, divide each number by 1,2,3, etc., and find the greatest common number (only integers are valid).

  • 50: 50 25 10 5 1
  • 90: 90 45 30 18 15 10 9 6 5 3 2 1

The greatest common number is 10, so 10 meters is the length of the room.

<h3>How to find the width?</h3>

Use the formula

  • A = lenght x width or width = area / lenght

Kitchen.

  • Width: 50 / 10
  • Width: 5 meters

Dining room:

  • Width: 90 / 10
  • Width: 9 meters

Note: In this question the diagram is missing; below, I attach the diagram.

Percent change from 100 to 160
Oxana [17]

Answer:

60%

Step-by-step explanation:

100 is the entire thing and if you convert it into a percentage it is 100%. But the difference between 100% to 160% is 60%.

I am very confused please solve and explain.
e-lub [12.9K]

Answer:

c = \frac{b^2-R^2}{4a}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

R= \sqrt{b^2-4ac}

Clear the radical by squaring both sides

R² = b² - 4ac ( subtract b² from both sides )

R² - b² = - 4ac ( multiply all terms by - 1 )

b² - R² = 4ac ( divide both sides by 4a )

\frac{b^2-R^2}{4a} = c

Determine a series of transformations that would map polygon ABCDE onto polygon A’B’C’D’E
zalisa [80]

Answer:

Reflected across x-axis followed by a dilation with a scale factor of 2 about the origin.

Step-by-step explanation:

It's clear from the graph,

Polygon ABCDE is reflected across x-axis then dilated so that it overlaps polygon A'B'C'D'E'

Let's choose a point A having coordinates (-2, -1)

By reflecting point A across x-axis,

Rule to be followed for the reflection,

(x, y) → (x, -y)

By this rule, coordinates of the image point A will be,

A(-2, -1) → A"(-2, 1)

Now point A"(-2, 1) has been dilated by a scale factor = k to form an image points A'(-4, 2).

Rule for the dilation of a point about the origin is,

A"(x, y) → A'(kx, ky)

A"(-2, 1) → A'(-2k, k)

Since, coordinates of point A' are (-4, -2),

Therefore, -2k = -4

k = 2

k = 2

Hence, polygon ABCDE was reflected across x-axis followed by a dilation with a scale factor of 2 about the origin to form polygon A'B'C'D'E'.
