Answer: Choice C
The equation is y = 4x-3

---------------------------------------

How I got that answer:

The first row has x = 0 and y = -3
So the answer is narrowed to either A or C. These answer choices have a y intercept of -3. Choices B and D have a y intercept of 3.

We need the slope now. Pick any two points from the table. I'm going to pick (0,-3) and (2,5) from the first two rows.

Slope formula:
m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
m = (5-(-3))/(2-0)
m = (5+3)/(2-0)
m = 8/2
m = 4

The slope is 4, so the equation is y = 4x-3
That's why the answer is choice C
(we can rule out choice A as that slope is 1)

Deijah gave Isaiah $6.25 in nickels and quarters. If 12 coins were quarters, how many coins were nickels? Which equation models
dem82 [27]
Deijah has $6.25.

Now, this 6.25 is comprised of 0.05s and 0.25s.
We know that there are 12 0.25s.

We now want to know how many remaining 0.05s there are.

Again, we know that the number of 0.05s he has, which is 12, multiplied by 0.05, plus the number of 0.25s he has, multiplied by 0.25, equals 6.25.

Thus, the answer is A, 0.25 x 12 + 0.05 x n = 6.25.

liq [111]

Answer:

Trigonometric functions are used in obtaining unknown angles and distances from known or measured angles in geometric figures. Trigonometry developed from a need to compute angles and distances in such fields as astronomy, mapmaking, surveying, and artillery range finding.
