Answer:

He lists the actions taken by America to ensure peace, to establish the reasons why war is inevitable.

Explanation:

Logos is used to demonstrate the use of reason in a speech. When the speaker is speaking and using the logos, that speaker is making an appeal to logic and reason by promoting the logical inductive or deductive reasoning of his audience about a relevant situation.

The above text is loaded with pathos, which is a call to emotion, but we can easily find the call to logos in the speaker's speech when we can see that he lists the actions taken by the United States to guarantee peace and establish the reasons why war is inevitable.

Because pathos is an appeal to emotion, we know that the second and third responses are not appropriate because of the phrases, “to create outrage” and “to create anger,” respectively.  Because ethos is an appeal to ethics by manner of a speaker/writer’s authority, we know the fourth response is not proper because of the phrase, “to reinforce his authority.”  Thus, because logos appeals to logic and Sir Patrick Henry describes the logical outcome after a series of actions, it can be deduced that the first response is correct:  “He lists the actions taken by America to ensure peace, to establish the reasons why war is inevitable.”
