Answer: 37/40

Step-by-step explanation: using LCM (lowest common multiple) or by simply multiplying 5 x 8, the denominator is 40. In doing so, you would also have to cross multiply 4 x 8 and 5 x 1, making 32/40 and 5/40. Add them both together and you get 37/40, which i believe is in fact in lowest terms. By decimal it would be 0.925.

Hope this helps!

During a season, the 40th percentile for points scored per player in a game is eight.
iris [78.8K]

Answer:

The interpretation is that in 40% of those games the number of points scored per player was lesser tha 8 and in 60% of the games the number of points scored per player was higher than 8.

Step-by-step explanation:

When a value V is said to be in the xth percentile of a set, x% of the values in the set are lower than V and (100-x)% of the values in the set are higher than V.

During a season, the 40th percentile for points scored per player in a game is eight. Interpret the 40th percentile in the context of this situation.

The interpretation is that in 40% of those games the number of points scored per player was lesser tha 8 and in 60% of the games the number of points scored per player was higher than 8.

Find the area of the kite! Will mark brainliest
Andrew [12]

Answer:

187.06 units²

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of kite:

½ × d1 × d2

½d1 = 18sin(30)

½d1 = 9

d1 = 18

d2 = 9/tan(60) + 18cos(30)

= 12sqrt(3)

Area = ½ × 18 × 12sqrt(3)

108sqrt(3) units²

187.0614872 units²

Triangle PQR has vertices P(-2,2), Q(8,2) and R(4,6).
Elena-2011 [213]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  x = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

You can forget about point R. It does not have any part in this problem, except to add confusion.

The given line PQ has the same y-coordinate values for points P and Q. This means the segment is a horizontal segment. Its perpendicular bisector will be a vertical line through its midpoint.

The midpoint (M) of PQ is ...

  M = (P +Q)/2

  M = ((-2, 2) +(8, 2))/2 = (-2+8, 2+2)/2 = (6, 4)/2

  M = (3, 2)

The vertical line through a point with x-coordinate 3 will have the equation ...

  x = 3
