What is elected monarchy?

History
1 answer:
Katarina [22]3 years ago
6 0
An elected monarchy is a country where people choose their monarchs. In regular monarchies, inheriting the throne is hereditary meaning that family members pass it from one to another. In an elected one, people choose who the monarch will be. It's something like an archaic presidential run but the monarch has way more power than a president has nowadays. This was common in some Arabic countries in history.

After the 2004 iowa caucuses, the press repeatedly showed an unusually awkward clip of howard dean screaming rather than any sub
mash [69]
This illustrates a soundbite

Soundbites are when the media takes only a small part of a video or an audio clip and uses it as an example and a reference point for the original thing. The idea of it is to capture the essence of the problem, and in this case, the famous clip of what was titled as the scream was supposed to exemplify everything regarding that person.
