I think what is wrong with the sentence is that it is a run-on sentence.

The sentence is not grammatically correct as for it is a run on sentence with a "comma splice". To be fixed the sentence should be separated into 2 sentences with a period in between or a semicolon should precede the conjunctive adverb.
