Answer:

It was the workers' attempts to form a labor union were defeated.

Explanation:

The Homestead Strike- which was actually both a strike and a lockout- began as a call for the legalization of unionization in the Homestead Steel Works in Pennsylvania. Workers were also wanting better working conditions and more competitive pay. The action turned ugly, though, when armed combat erupted between security forces hired by the mine and the workers who were on strike. In all, 16 were killed and over 20 were injured, and workers' attempts to form a labor union were defeated.

Answer:

D-unconditional positive regard

Explanation:

Carl Rogers would most likely describe Brett's belief as an example of unconditional positive regard. This is basically when you believe that an individual should be accepted and supported regardless of the person's actions, ideas, or behaviors. In this scenario, this is in regards to children in general, and since Brett believes that they should be treated with love and support at all times regardless of their behavior, it matches with the idea of unconditional positive regard. Therefore, it is a clear example of this as Carl Rogers would describe it.
