Yes you have the right idea. You find the derivative to get the velocity function and then determine when the velocity is zero. That turns out to be at t = 2 and t = 6. Both are correct. The final answer is correct.

The only flaw I see is that you wrote
x'(t) = 3y^3 - 24t + 36
on line 2 when it should be
x'(t) = 3t^2 - 24t + 36

Other than that it looks perfect.

A dollar bill is about 15.5 cm long. If seventeen trillion dollar bills were laid end to end around the Earth's equator, how man
Mariana [72]

Answer:

The dollar bills would encircle earth 65753.1 times

Step-by-step explanation:

We have

Length of dollar bill = 15.5 cm

Total dollar bills = 17 trillion = 17\times 10^{12}

Thus the length of 17 trillion dollar bills equals

15.5\times 17\times 10^{12}cm\\\\=263.5\times 10^{12}cm\\\\=\frac{263.5\times 10^{12}}{10^{5}}km\\\\=263.5\times 10^{7}km

Now taking shape of earth as a perfect sphere the circumference of earth becomes

C=2\pi r\\\\=2\times \pi \times 6378km\\\\=40074.1558km

Thus the number of times the dollar bills would encircle earth equals

\frac{263.5\times 10^{7}km}{40074.1558km}=65753.21times

Find the area of the shaded region. Leave your answer in terms of and in simplest radical form.
jarptica [38.1K]
Given:
Radius = 12 m

Area of a circle = π r²
A = 3.14 * (12m)²
A = 3.14 * 144 m²
A = 452.16 m²

360°/60° = 6

452.16 m² * 5/6 = 376.80 m² Area of the remaining circle.

Area of the equilateral triangle = (√3/4) a²
* radius of the circle is the side length of the triangle.
A =  (√3/4) * (12m)²
A = 0.433 * 144m²
A = 62.352 m²

Area of the shaded region = 376.80m² + 62.352m²

Area of the shaded region = 439.152 m²
