Answer:

Decomposition.

Explanation:

Decomposition is simply a breakdown process of raw organic materials to a finished compost. This is a gradual complex process, in which both chemical and biological processes has to be in order for organic matter to form compost.

The decomposition that occurs organic matter by biological action takes place in nature since life first appeared on our planet. Lately, man has attempted to control and directly utilize the process for sanitary recycling and reclamation of organic waste material.

The two forms of decomposition are:

ANAEROBIC (without oxygen) decomposition.

AEROBIC (with oxygen) decomposition and stabilization.

In both of these processes, bacteria, fungi, molds, protozoa, actinbacteria, and other saprophytic organisms feed upon decaying organic materials initially, while in the later stages of decomposition mites, millipedes, centipedes, springtails, beetles and earthworms further breakdown and enrich the composting materials. The organisms will vary in the pile due to temperature conditions, but the goal in composting is to create the most favorable environment possible for the desired organisms.

Alex787 [66]

The statement that enzymes need to be produced by cells in large quantities because they are consumed by the chemical reactions in which they participate is False.

How much quantity of enzyme is needed in a Chemical Reaction?

 • Between 1 and 10,000 substrate molecules can be catalyzed by an enzyme every second.
 • Due to the fact that they do not change throughout reactions, enzymes are only found in trace levels in cells. and they have a strong affinity for their substrate.
 • By lowering the activation energy and activating more molecules, they act as the catalyst to make the process easier to happen. Because the enzyme must react with the substrate, the concentration of the enzyme is crucial in chemical reactions.
 • When enzymes locate their intended substrate, they seize them, undergo a transformation, and then move on to the subsequent substrate molecule.

The change in electrical potential that occurs when an impulse passes through a nerve cell
Nadusha1986 [10]

Answer:

The answer to this definition is: ACTION POTENTIAL

Explanation:

Action potential is a phenomenon in nervous system used to describe a change in electrical current that occurs when an impulse passes through a neuron or nerve cell. Action potential is induced when sodium (Na+) ions move from the extracellular environment into the intracellular environment.

Impulse travels across the axon of a neuron and thereby causes a difference in the electric potential i.e. - mv to + mv. This process, according to this question, whereby a change in electrical potential occurs due to the passage of an impulse through a nerve cell is termed ACTION POTENTIAL.
