Answer:
5 cakes
hope it helps
Step-by-step explanation:
if one cake feed 14 people and you are tying to fine out how many cakes you need to feed 60 people you would have to divide 60 by 14
1 cake = 14 people
? cakes = 60 people
60 ÷ 14 = 4.28
so in order to have enough for 60 people you need to round so you would need 5 cakes
to check you answer you can multiply 5 by 14 and you answer should be the amount of people
5 x 14 = 70
why cant it be 4? well because if you buy 4 cakes there wont be enough for 60 people and to make sure it wont be enough you can multiply 4 x 14
4 x 14 = 56
so 4 cakes only feeds 56 people so that is why your answer is 5 cakes are needed
Hi,
Sorry i don't understand you "determine the sigma notation of the sum for term 4 through term 15"

You did everything correctly! I did it myself...all of your subtraction is correct, then I added the answers together and I got 51. Where you trying to get another answer?
The two easiest ways to solve a system of equations (in my opinion) are to add the equations together while getting rid of a variable, or solving for a variable in one equation and plugging it into another. The latter is the method I will use.
3x - y = 4 (solve for y)
3x = 4 + y
3x - 4 = y
y = <span>3x - 4 </span>
Now we can plug y into the other equation:
<span>6x + 3y = 13
</span>6x + 3(<span>3x - 4) = 13
</span>6x + 9<span>x - 12 = 13
</span>15x = 25
x = 25/15
x = 5/3
The answer is x = 5/3
If you ever needed to find y as well, you can plug this into either equation to find y.
3x - y = 4
<span>3(5/3) - y = 4
</span>5 - y = 4
y = 1
Distribute the negative first -7c+18-2>0
simplify -7c+16>0
subtract 16 both sides -7c>-16
divide by -1
MOST IMPORTANT PART
when you divide both sides by -1, you HAVE to change the greater/less than sign
so -7c>-16 becomes 7c<16
now divide by 7
c<16/7
I hope you don't yet want to graph it, because graphing is something that's a bit harder to show here
