a static character whose beliefs and behaviors don't change over the course of the story

Throughout the entire story, Judy Jones is a selfish two-dimensional character. We really only know about her from the eyes of others. We never know who she really is when she is alone. We learn that all this superficial materialistic selfishness does not make her happy and that she never seems to be happy.
