Answer:

Given: A rectangle with constant area has possible lengths and width as shown in the given table.

Inverse variation states that a relationship between two variables in which the product is a constant.

If one variable increases,  the other decreases in proportion so that the product is unchanged.

i.e, if b is inversely proportional to a i.e, y \propto \frac{1}{x} , the equation is of the form

b= \frac{k}{a}  or ab = k , where k is constant of variation.

As, you can see from the table as width(w) increases, the length decreases so ,it is an inverse variation.

By area of rectangle formula: A =lw where l is the length and w is the width respectively;

Since, Area is constant i.e,

A = 2 \times 37.5 = 75

 A = 4 \times 18.75 = 75 ....

Therefore, the equation which is used to find any corresponding length and width that fits the pattern in this table is:   l = \frac{k}{w}  or lw = k ; where k is the constant area.

Which triangles are similar?
likoan [24]

Answer:

option B) ΔABE ∼ ΔADC

Step-by-step explanation:

<u><em>The picture of the question in the attached figure</em></u>

we know that

If two triangles are similar, then its corresponding sides are proportional and its corresponding angles are congruent

In this problem

Triangles ABE and ADC are similar by AA Similarity Theorem

because

m∠ ABE≅m∠ADC

m∠ BAE≅m∠DAC

The corresponding sides are

AB and AD

BE and DC

AE and AC

so

\frac{AB}{AD}=\frac{BE}{DC}=\frac{AE}{AC}

STRUCTURE Without graphing or solving, determine the number of solutions of the system.
Mkey [24]
I believe the answer would be "infinitely many solutions" because you can put any number as x and y would be a different answer each time for both of the equations given. i hope this helps :)

Round your answer to the nearest hundreth.
katovenus [111]

Answer:

78.54 is the radius of a circle of 5 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

the formula of the area of a circle is

A = πr^2

When you multiply 5 times 5, you get 25. Then, multiply 25 by pi to recieve 78.54 rounded to the nearest hundredth.

What is the solution of this equation? -9+7b=8b-7
Anni [7]

Answer:

b=-2

Step-by-step explanation:

-9+7b=8b-7\\-9+9+7b=8b-7+9 \leftarrow \text {Addition Property of Equality} \\7b+8b=2\\7b-8b+8b-8b=2\leftarrow \text {Subtraction Property of Equality} \\-b=2\\\frac{-b}{-1}=\frac{2}{-1}  \leftarrow \text {Division Property of Equality}\\\boxed {b=-2}\\\\\huge\text {The value of 'b' should be -2}
