My father doesn't trust them = mon père ne leur fait pas confiance

 to trust some body = faire confiance à quelqu'un

nous ne fait pas = the pronoun has to be after "ne"
fait nous = same  ///Fais nous confiance ! = trust us ! (imperative form)
ne nous pas fait = pas has to be after "fait"


Se faire confiance   // ne pas se faire confiance
il nous fait confiance ///il ne nous fait pas confiance
tu me fais confiance /// tu ne me fais pas confiance (me = pronoun ...before)
Je te fais confiance // je ne te fais pas confiance
Nous nous faisons confiance// Nous ne nous faisons pas confiance

I don't know how to explain that it's not "Mon père fait nous confiance"
"nous"  is an indirect object pronoun.....not a direct object
an object. pronoun , direct or indirect, is always before the verb......
