They kept sailing.

The poem says that the people on the ship "<span>Had somewhere to get to and sailed calmly on." This supports the fact that no one around really cared too much about Icarus falling into the sea; everyone else in the painting looked like they had more important things to do or worry about.</span>

What is the best explanation of what “public domain” means?
emmainna [20.7K]
A.  Public domain means whose exclusive intellectual rights have expired , have been forfeited, have been expressly waived, or are incapable.  So if someone owned a building but had their rights for the building terminated, that building is now a public domain until someone buys the building. So, after the building has been handed over because of the terminated rights of the owner, it is now a "Public Domain".

How is the narrator’s point of view towards the tree different from their parents’ point of view in the book Autumntime
Vaselesa [24]

Answer:

The narrator is amazed by the tree but his parents quietly reflect on it.

Explanation:

The beginning part of the story tells us that the father of the young boy used to tell them stories of the times when they had natural trees instead of artificial trees. So, when they got to the O'Brien's house, the young boy was actually excited about the tree and observed all of its intricate features.

His parents simply looked at the tree and stared at it with smiles on their faces. They also were silent on their way back from the house. These details apparently show that they reflected on the good times when they still had natural trees.

What is the significance of the omniscient narration in "The Open Boat" by Stephen Crane?
Anika [276]

The omniscient narration in "The Open Boat" by Stephen Crane is significant because (A.) the omniscient narrator's overview of all the characters provides a foreshadowing of the ending.

"The Open Boat" is a short story that was written and published by Stephen Crane in 1897. It focuses on the author's own experience after surviving a shipwreck. <u>The story is told by a third-person narrator, that is, an omniscient narrator that does not participate in the story</u>. The narrator only witnesses what happens to the characters and tells the reader their thoughts and feelings. Moreover,<u> he knows more things than the characters, which allows him to anticipate what will happen at the end of the story</u>.
