Simple, dilation is not too hard to understand but sometimes it may be tricky. In this case it stretched the original figure. Since the image was stretched we know that the scale factor, k, is bigger than 1. Also, in most cases dilations involve multiplication. That being said, the answer to square DEFG being dilated, is 3.

Well,

If two images are similar, then the ratios of their respective sides must be equal.  So is EF is 2 units long and E'F' is 6 units long, and the images are similar, we can use this info to determine the ratio of the preimage to the dilated image.  We obviously know that E'F' is bigger, per the attachment.

6 = 3(2)

Therefore, E'F' is 3 times as long as EF, and that makes image D'E'F'G' larger by a scale factor (ratio) of 3.

The correct option is D.

Stan lawn mower had 1/8 of a gallon of gasoline in the tank. Stan started mowing and used all of the gasoline. He put 6/10 of a
tigry1 [53]

Answer: Stan used \frac{1}{24}\ gallon of gasoline.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: The amount of gasoline in the tank of Stan lawn mower=\frac{1}{8}\ of\ gallon

Then he put the amount of gasoline in the tank=\frac{1}{6}\ of\ gallon

The total  amount of gasoline filled in the tank =\frac{1}{8}+\frac{1}{6}\ gallons

⇒ The total amount of gasoline filled in the tank =\frac{3+4}{24}=\frac{7}{24}\ gallons

The amount of gasoline left in the tank after mowing=\frac{1}{4}\ of\ gallon

Now, the total gasoline used by Stan=\frac{7}{24}-\frac{1}{4}=\frac{7-6}{24}=\frac{1}{24}\ gallon

I promise Brainliest to the first to answerBased on the graph below, what is ƒ(3)? Each tick represents 1 unit.
Zigmanuir [339]

Answer:

So first we need to find 3 on the x position. Any time you have a number passed into a function it means we need to get the x coordinate. Then we trace the point on the line which has 3 as a coordinate for x. Then the output will give us the y coordinate. So we can see that for 3 the y on the line is 3 also. Therefore the answer is

<h2><u>3</u></h2>
