Answer:

According to historical sources, this battle took place between September 19 and October 17, 1777 in Saratoga (New York) near the Hudson River. In this battle two armed forces clashed: the United States Army commanded by Horatio Gates and the Army of Great Britain commanded by John Burgoyne. It was an important battle and victory for the American patriots and it was also the perfect motive and moment that France needed to go to war against Great Britain.
