Irrational means of a number, quantity, or expression NOT expressible as a ratio of two integers, and having an infinite and nonrecurring expansion when expessed as a decimal. Rational numbers mean any number that CAN be expressed as the quotient or fraction of two integers, a numerator, a non-zero denominator. For example, any repeating or terminating decimal represents a rational number.

Hello There!

Rational numbers are numbers that can be turned into a fraction. Any decimal that repeats or ends is a rational number.

Irrational numbers are numbers that can't be turned into a fraction. Irrational numbers go on forever meaning that they never stop or repeat.

Which equation represents a line that is perpendicular to line l on the graph below?
Bad White [126]

Answer:

y= -1/2x + 3

Step-by-step explanation:

A line perpendicular will have the reciprocal slope.

First you need to find the slope of the line given.

m= rise/ run

m= -2

Now flip for the reciprocal.

The perpendicular line will have a slope of -1/2

Answer

y = (1/2)x - 1

Explanation

The first step is to get the gradient of the line.

The two points in the line are; (2,0) and (-2, -2).

Gradient = (-2 - 0)/(-2, - 2)

                = -2/-4

                 = 1/2

To get the function we use one of the point (2,0) and a general point (x,y).

1/2 = (y - 0)/(x - 2)

1/2 = y/(x - 2)

(x - 2) = 2y

2y = x - 2

y = (1/2)x - 1

7: In the rhombus, m∠1=10x, m∠2=x + y, and m∠3= 5z. Find the values of x, y, and z.
malfutka [58]
Angles 1, 2, and 3 are all 90°.

10x = 90
.. x = 9

x +y = 90
.. y = 81

5z = 90
.. z = 18

The values of (x, y, z) are (9, 81, 18).

Ella already knew 5 appetizer recipes before starting culinary school, and she will learn 2 new
Natalija [7]

A = 2w+5

example: on week three, she would have the recipes from the other weeks that you have to account for as well as the extra five

2(3)+5=11 so A would equal 11 by week three.

Use multiplication because it is essentially repeated addition.

2(from week 1) + 2(from week 2) + 2(from week 3) + 5(prior to school) =11
