Alfred is wrong because with more coins you get more chances to get heads...because if you have three coins then you only have three chances to get two of the coins landing on heads, if you have four coins you now have four chances

Alfred, because he is more at risk for flipping more than 2 heads, were Eddie can only flip a maximum of 3 so the probability is in his favour

The diameter of a circle is 28 millimeters. What is the circle's area<br><br> Use 3.14 for .
yulyashka [42]

Answer:

615.44 mm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Before finding the area of the circle, first, let us find the radius of the circle.

Given that,

diameter ⇒ 28 mm

Therefore,

<h3>d = 2r</h3>

28 = 2r

Divide both sides by 2.

14mm = radius

<u>                                             </u>

And now, let us find the area.

The formula to find the area of the circle is :

<h3>Area = π r²</h3>

Let us solve now.

Area = π r²

        = 3.14 × 14 × 14

        = 43.96 × 14

        =<u> 615.44 mm²</u>

Which quadratic function has a y-intercept of 4?
8090 [49]

Answer:

This tells us that the vertex is at (−2, 9) and the equation of the axis of symmetry is x = −2. To find the x-intercepts, we put y = 0 to obtain

(x + 2)2 − 9 = 0

(x + 2)2 = 9

x + 2 = 3  or  x + 2 = −3

 x = 1   or   x = −5.

Step-by-step explanation:

Image result for Which quadratic function has a y-intercept of 4? y=x2−2x+4 y=x2+2x+9 y=−x2+3x y=x2+13x+12

The standard form of a quadratic equation is written as y=ax2+bx+c, where x and y are variables and a, b, and c are known constants. To find the y-intercept from a quadratic equation, substitute 0 as the value for x and solve. The y-intercept is always equal to the value of c in the equation.

If you start with 85 milligrams of Chromium 51, used to track red blood cells, which
zysi [14]

About 92 days are taken for 90 % of the material to <em>decay</em>.

The mass of radioisotopes (m), measured in milligrams, decreases exponentially in time (t), measured in days. The model that represents such decrease is described below:

m(t) = m_{o}\cdot e^{-\frac{t}{\tau} } (1)

Where:

  • m_{o} - Initial mass, in milligrams.
  • m(t) - Current mass, in milligrams.
  • \tau - Time constant, in days.

In addition, the time constant is defined in terms of half-life (t_{1/2}), in days:

\tau = \frac{t_{1/2}}{\ln 2} (2)

If we know that m_{o} = 85\,mg, t_{1/2} = 27.7\,d and m(t) = 8.5\,mg, then the time required for decaying is:

\tau = \frac{t_{1/2}}{\ln 2}

\tau = \frac{27.7\,d}{\ln 2}

\tau \approx 39.963\,d

t = -\tau \cdot \ln \frac{m(t)}{m_{o}}

t = -(39.963\,d)\cdot \ln \frac{8.5\,mg}{85\,mg}

t\approx 92.018\,d

About 92 days are taken for 90 % of the material to <em>decay</em>.
