Shanghai is one of the four direct-controlled municipalities of China. It has a population of over 24 million people. In the last couple decades Shanghai has been on of the fastest growing cities. The city is one of the most expensive cities to live in China. It is also one of the main industrial centers. Shanghai is also home to one of the largest free-trade zones in China.
