I used the process of elimination so there's no real method here but: 5x7=35
55-35=20
4x5=20
35+20=55
Tulips= 7
Daffodils= 5

7 tulips and 5 daffodils. An easy way to work this out is to list the multiples of both 5 and 4 until you get up to 55. Then you can find one number from each list which would add up to 55( which in this case would be 35 and 20) 35 being 7th in the 5 times table and 20 being 5th in the 4 times table.

What point is on the graph of f(x)=3x4
Artyom0805 [142]

Answer:

There are an infinite number of points on this graph. Two of them would be (1, 3) and (0, 0).

Step-by-step explanations:

In order to find any points on the graph, simply put the x value in to get the y value.

f(x) = 3x^4

f(x) = 3(1)^4

f(x) = 3(1)

f(x) = 3

(1, 3)

And then for the second point.

f(x) = 3x^4

f(x) = 3(0)^4

f(x) = 3(0)

f(x) = 0

(0, 0)

How can you tell if three positive numbers form a<br> Pythagorean triple?
Sedaia [141]

Answer:

Since a Pythagorean triple is three positive integers a, b, and c such that (a^2)+(b^2)=(c^2), where a and b are the two legs, and c is the hypotenuse, first take the sum of the squares of the two legs and make an estimate. For example, 3, 4, and 5 is a Pythagorean triple since 9+16=25.

Which shows the terms of the series? 4 12 48 192 4 12 36 3 12 48 192 3 12 48
Stells [14]

The value of the term in the series will be equal to 3 + 12 +48 + 192 after calculation.

<h3>What is summation?</h3>

In mathematics, the summation is the addition of a sequence of any kind of numbers, called addends or summands.

Now we have a given term

\sum_{n=1}^{4} 3(4)^{n-1}

By solving the above term;

\sum_{n=1}^{4} 3(4)^{n-1}=3(4)^{1-1}+3(4)^{2-1}+3(4)^{3-1}+3(4)^{4-1}

\sum_{n=1}^{4} 3(4)^{n-1}=3(4)^0+3(4)^1+3(4)^2+3(4)^3

\sum_{n=1}^{4} 3(4)^{n-1}=3 + 12 +48 + 192

Hence the value of the term in the series will be equal to 3 + 12 +48 + 192 after calculation.

How do you think inequalities are different from equations you have worked with before?
VMariaS [17]

Answer:

The only difference is: If you multiply or divide both sides of an equation by the same negative number, the equation remains the same, but If you multiply or divide both sides of an inequality by the same negative number, the inequality reverses.

Hope this helps, and have a nice day

Step-by-step explanation:

Good luck! :)
