What is John Steinbeck's book The Grapes of Wrath about?

English

I'd say that the correct answer is D, merely because all the other options don't seem correct to me. I wouldn't say A is correct because the book doesn't deal with Wall Street, but workers. B isn't correct as well, as the book doesn't focus on the cause of the drought, but its effects. C is also incorrect as people leave Dust Bowl, so in my opinion, the correct answer is the only remaining one - D. The book deals with the struggles of the workers, and their lives, and what they had to do to make for a living.

Please help on my last question
In-s [12.5K]

Answer:

D. She encourages us to read and write well, too

Explanation:

The topic sentence is about your teacher rewarding you.

The question is about which of the 4 sentences would NOT support the main idea of reward.

Options A, B and C are some forms of reward (movie coupons, longer recess and playing CDs). So, each of those sentences do support the main idea of reward.

Option D is about encouragement to do something right, not a reward for doing it. If she would congratulate you for doing it, that could be seen as a reward... but the sentence only talks about encouragement.
