Hello!

In 1865, Abraham Lincoln created the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands, also known as the Freedmen's Bureau. This Bureau was intended to last for one year after the end of the Civil War and its main objective was to assist freed slaves in the South. Bureau agents taught African Americans to read and write, they helped them to return to work and solve employment issues as well as family issues.

What was the state of race relations during 1935?
Margaret [11]

Explanation:

The problems of the Great Depression affected

virtually every group of Americans. No group

was harder hit than African Americans,

however. By 1932, approximately half of black

Americans were out of work. In some Northem

cities, whites called for blacks to be fired from

any jobs as long as there were whites out of

work. Racial violence again became more

common, especially in the South. Lynchings,

which had declied to eight in 1932, surged to

28 in 1933

As General Patton knew, Russia was never the ally of America. Since Russia was never an ally, there was no reason to have allowed Russia after WWII to divide Germany and to access some of the "brain power" which helped with the development of nuclear weapons. And, had the U.S. done what Patton suggested--namely, go into Russia at the end of WWII, the U.S.S.R. would not have developed as it did. Therefore, there would have been no Cold War. Blame goes to the U.S.
