Find the area of all the sides:
10 x 9 = 90
9 x 8 = 72
1/2 x 6 x 8 = 24
1/2 x 6 x 8 = 24
6 x 9 = 54

Add them up:
90 + 72 + 24 + 24 + 54 = 264 square metres

The lateral surface area is the product of the triangle perimeter and the length of the prism:
.. lateral area = (6 m +10 m +8 m)*(9 m) = 216 m^2

The end area is twice that of the end triangles, so is
.. end area = (6 m)*(8 m) = 48 m^2

The total area is the sum of these.
.. total area = lateral area + end area
.. total area = 216 m^2 +48 m^2 = 264 m^2

Is -5.5 an intger beacuse its negative?
balu736 [363]

Answer:

The answer is No.

Step-by-step explanation:

The answer is no because an integer is any whole number that isn't a fraction. So this can be positive and still be an integer.

Hey there! :D

1. c - 7 = 32

To solve this problem, add the difference and the subtrahend of the given equation.

32 + 7 = \boxed{\sf 39}

Checking:

To check, simply substitute the conclusion on the unknown quantity.

39 (c) - 7 = 32

Thus, the equation was correct which gives us the answer that:

\large \boxed{ \sf {\: c = 39}}

\begin{gathered} \\ \end{gathered}

2. r + 4 = 39

To solve this problem, subtract the sum and the addend of the given equation.

39 - 4 = \boxed{\sf 35}

Checking:

To check, simply substitute the conclusion on the unknown quantity.

35 (r) + 4 = 39

Thus, the equation was correct which gives us the answer that:

\large\boxed{ \sf {r \: = \: 35}}

Is the solution of this equation extraneous?
UkoKoshka [18]

Answer:

x = - 3 is extraneous

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

\sqrt{x+7} - 1 = x  ( add 1 to both sides )

\sqrt{x+7} = x + 1 ( square both sides )

x + 7 = (x + 1)² ← distribute right side

x + 7 = x² + 2x + 1 ( subtract x + 7 from both sides )

0 = x² + x - 6 ← in standard form

0 = (x + 3)(x - 2) ← in factored form

Equate each factor to zero and solve for x

x + 3 = 0 ⇒ x = - 3

x - 2 = 0 ⇒ x = 2

As a check

Substitute these values into the equation and if both sides are equal then they are the solutions.

x = - 3 : \sqrt{-3+7} - 1 = \sqrt{4} - 1 = 2 - 1 = 1 ≠ - 3

x = 2 : \sqrt{2+7} - 1  = \sqrt{9} - 1 = 3 - 1 = 2

x = 2 is a solution and x = - 3 is extraneous

If m (x) = StartFraction x + 5 Over x minus 1 EndFraction and n(x) = x – 3, which function has the same domain as (m circle n) (
Andrew [12]

Answer:

The function h (x) = StartFraction 11 Over x minus 4 EndFraction

has the domain of h (x) = ( - ∞, 4) U (4, ∞ ) which is same as the

domain of (m ∘ n)(x) = ( - ∞, 4) U (4, ∞ ).

Step-by-step explanation:

m (x) = StartFraction x + 5 Over x minus 1 and n(x) = x – 3

As m (x) could be written as:

m(x) = \frac{x+5}{x-1}

n(x) = x – 3

(m ∘ n)(x) = m(n(x)) = m(x – 3)

              = \frac{(x-3) + 5}{(x-3) - 1}

              = \frac{x+2}{x-4}

In order to find the domain of (m ∘ n)(x) = \frac{x+2}{x-4}, we need to

make sure that denominator can not be zero,

So,

     x - 4 = 0

     x = 4

So, our domain can be anything except for 4.

Hence, Domain = D = ( - ∞, 4) U (4, ∞ )

Now, compare the domain of (m ∘ n)(x) i.e D = ( - ∞, 4) U (4, ∞ ) with all the options:

Option A: h (x) = x + 5 / 11

Option A has the Domain of h (x) = Set of all real numbers

So, Option A is false.

Option B: h (x) = 11 / x - 1

                        x - 1 = 0

                         x = 1

Option B has the domain of h (x) = ( - ∞, 1) U (1, ∞ )

So, Option B is false.

Option C: h (x) = 11 / x - 4

                        x - 4 = 0

                         x = 4

Domain C has the domain of h (x) = ( - ∞, 4) U (4, ∞ )

So, Option C is true.

Option D: h (x) = 11 / x - 3

                        x - 3 = 0

                         x = 3

Option D has the domain of h (x) = ( - ∞, 3) U (3, ∞ )

So, option D is also false.

Hence, only option C is true as the option C i.e. h (x) = StartFraction 11 Over x minus 4 EndFraction has the domain of h (x) = ( - ∞, 4) U (4, ∞ ) which is same as the domain of (m ∘ n)(x) = ( - ∞, 4) U (4, ∞ ).
