Well, some of these areas were found accidentally. European rulers would hire explorers to find different sea routes to other parts of the world. As in the case of Christopher Columbus, he thought he was in Asia but didn't realize he had discovered the Americas. So they found these areas and realized that they had valuable resources and people that could be enslaved to work for them. These countries were also in search of certain valuables.

ad-work [718]

Answer:

requiring citizens to obey all commands and laws imposed by the government without question

requiring citizens to set aside a portion of their property for the exclusive use of the government

Explanation:

In the 1800s, there was a school of thought then that focused on the reasoning of man and how logic and rationality is the driving force and main source of authority and clamored for ideals such as being tolerant, compassionate, obedience to constitutional authority within reason, et cetera. This movement was known as The Enlightenment.

Therefore, according to the principles of The Enlightenment, the following would be inappropriate requiring citizens to obey all commands and laws imposed by the government without question and requiring citizens to set aside a portion of their property for the exclusive use of the government because these actions are not rational.

In a _____ form of government, the goods and services
kherson [118]

Answer:

That form of government is socialism.

Explanation:

Socialism is based off the concept of total harmony, the people usually share a  lot of benefits, which are often regulated by the government though. Sadly most socialist values are not reflected in their society as the usually end up flawed. Monarchies do not equally distribute power to the people. In free enterprise, private businesses compete for superiority and are not regulated strongly by the government. They don't share goods and services however, and do not relate to any system of power throughout the people. I hope this helps :)
