Answer with explanation:

A line of best fit is that linear line which shows appropriate relation between two variables which is Quantitative in nature.It may pass through all the points, some of the points or none of the point in coordinate plane that is set of points given.

→→Set of Points lying in the coordinate plane

(-2,-9), (0,-3), (1,0), (3,6), (5,12)

The regression line will pass through all five points,  (-2,-9), (0,-3), (1,0),(3,6) and (5,12).

Equation of line passing through two points by selecting any points among five points ,chosen two points (0,-3), (1,0),  is given by

\frac{y-y_{1}}{x-x_{1}}=\frac{y_{2}-y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}\\\\ \frac{y-0}{x-1}=\frac{-3-0}{0-1}\\\\ y=3(x-1)

Points, (-2,-9),(3,6),and (5,12) satisfies the equation of the line , y=3 x -3.

So, equation of Regression line is

  y=3 x-3

scoray [572]

Answer:

The price of collection of novels before taxes was <u>$409.10</u>.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Ava bought a collection of hardcover novels and paid $450 including sales tax.

The sales tax is 10%.

Now, to find the price of collection of novels before taxes.

Let the price of collection of novels before sales tax be x.

The price of collection of novels including sales tax = $450.

Rate of sales tax = 10%.

Now, to get the price before sales tax by putting an equation:

x=450-10\%\ of\ x

x=450-\frac{10}{100} \times x

x=450-0.10\times x

x=450-0.10x

<em>Adding both sides by 0.10</em>x<em> we get:</em>

<em />1.10x=450<em />

<em>Dividing both sides by 1.10 we get:</em>

x=\$409.10.

Therefore, the price of collection of novels before taxes was $409.10.

The product of a number and 4 increased by 8 -36
Julli [10]
4x + 8 - 36 first subtract 36 from 8 to get the simplified equation 4x + (-28), or 4x - 28. As you cannot combine these terms, this is as far as you can go. Hope this helps! :)
