Answer:

5.44 units

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to use trigonometry.

Notice that we want to find the side opposite the angle marked 65 degrees. We are given the length of the hypotenuse, which is 6. Suppose the length of the opposite side is x. So, we need to use sine, which is opposite ÷ hypotenuse:

sin(65°) = x ÷ 6

Multiply both sides by 6:

x = 6 × sin(65°) ≈ 5.44 units

Answer:

5.44

Step-by-step explanation:

sin65 = opposite/hypotenuse

sin65 = BC/6

BC = 6sin65

BC = 5.437846722

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the ratio equality for circles

\frac{arc}{C} = \frac{angleatcentre}{360}

(a)

Note the angle at the centre of the shaded arc is 360° - 90° = 270°, thus

\frac{45}{C} = \frac{270}{360} = \frac{3}{4} ( cross- multiply )

3C = 180 ( divide both sides by 3 )

C = 60 mm

(b)

Note the angle at the centre of the shaded arc is 360° - 135° = 225°, thus

\frac{3.3}{C} = \frac{225}{360} ( cross- multiply )

225C = 1188 ( divide both sides by 225 )

C = 5.28 cm

Three of the following steps are used in writing a mixed number as an improper fraction. Which step does NOT belong?
QveST [7]
I don't see the steps, but the steps that I use are:
1. Multiply the denominator by the whole number
2. Then you add the numerator to your sum.
3. The number that you just got by doing those steps is now going to be your numerator and your old denominator is going to stay your denominator.

Example:

2 2/3
3*2=6
6+2=8
8/3 is your new answer.
