With the fall of the Mughal Empire, the British saw an opportunity to seize power in India, since the fragmentation of power, once centered on the Emperor, was now the necessary gap for the entry of the imperialists into that region of Asia. The British led, unlike the Mughal Empire, a policy of modernization, which established a firmer rule in the hands of the queen.

The correct answer is the following.

With the death of the last Mughal emperor in 1707,  Great Britain was able to strengthen its presence in India due to the division and confusion created by the situation. The structure of Power of the Mughal empire collapsed and that is when the British entered to control the territory.

After many years of prosperity under Emperor Shah Jahan, he was deposed by his son Aurangzeb. He spent too much money on waging wars and ended with the policy of tolerance that supported previous emperors. The Mughal empire finally ended in 1857.

Anika [276]

Answer:

Popes in the Middle Ages became central figures of power and influence. During this time many people from all walks of life flocked to the Holy Land to see the pope. The overly aggressive religious fanaticism of the popes and the promise of redemption of sin made the popes and the crusades popular.

In effect of this, the Catholic Church soon became the collective, uniting religious institution. Conflicts between church and state eventually weakened the Pope’s power. Also, the end of the feudal system and the Protestant Reformation led to a further weakening of the Pope’s power.
