Greece is located at the southern tip of the Balkan peninsula on the Mediterranean Sea coast and west of Turkey, with the Aegean Sea in between, being this one of the natural borders shared by both countries and has been a source of territorial disputes.
It should be noted that the Greek territory is in the middle of the three continents (Europe, Asia and Africa), which gives it a strategic location. In addition, in the Aegean Sea it has many islands, some of which are very close to the Turkish coasts.
