He would gain 12lb. for 4 years and the total would be 182lb.

For 6 years it would be 18lb.

The first thing you need to do is make the 6 years into months = 12 x 6 = 72
Then multiply 72 by 0.25 = 18lb. + 170 = 188lb.

The answer would be 188lb. for 6 years
and 182 for 4 years.

4(PX+1)=64 what is the value of x in terms of p and what is the value of x when p is -5 ?
Oksana_A [137]

Answer:

x = -3

Step-by-step explanation:

4(PX+1)=64\\\\p= -5

Substitute -5 for p in the given equation and solve

4(-5(x)+1)=64\\\\\mathrm{Divide\:both\:sides\:by\:}4\\\frac{4\left(-5x+1\right)}{4}=\frac{64}{4}\\\\Simplify\\-5x+1=16\\\\\mathrm{Subtract\:}1\mathrm{\:from\:both\:sides}\\-5x+1-1=16-1\\\\Simplify\\-5x =15\\\\\mathrm{Divide\:both\:sides\:by\:}-5\\\frac{-5x}{-5}=\frac{15}{-5}\\\\Simplify\\x = -3

A plumbing supply company has fixed costs of $9,000 per month and average variable costs of $9.30 per unit manufactured. The com
nekit [7.7K]

Answer:

8710 units

Step-by-step explanation:

<em>Step 1: Write all the data</em>

Fixed cost: $9000

Average variable cost: 9.3 per unit

Total cost: 90,000

Total units: x

<em>Step 2: Find the total variable cost</em>

Average variable cost is per unit so it has to be multiplied by the number of units to find the total variable cost.

Total variable cost = average variable cost per unit x number of units

Total variable cost = 9.3x

<em>Step 3: Make the formula for finding x</em>

Total cost = total fixed cost + total variable cost

90,000 = 9000 + 9.3x

81000 = 9.3x

x = 8709.67

Rounded off to 8710 units

How do you solve this
alekssr [168]
5/(6x-2)=-1/(x+1)
You have to multiply both sides by the denominators so it becomes:
5*(x+1)=-1*(6x-2)
5x+5=-6x+2
3=x

This applies to the second one as well, if you need any more help, feel free to message me :)
