Subtracting a positive is the same thing as adding a negative. Subtracting a negative is the same as adding a positive. Sometimes it's a little easier to do it that way.

Answer: it’s helps to write a subtraction problem as an addition problem becuase then solving the problem gets easier

You can write a subtraction problem as an addition problem by flipping the terms.

For example:

3-2 is the same as -2+3

15-7 is the same as -7+15

30-15 is the same as -15+30

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

(8)

the common ratio r,  of a geometric sequence is

r = \frac{a_{2} }{a_{1} } = \frac{a_{3} }{a_{2} } = ......

r = \frac{\frac{1}{32} }{\frac{1}{256} } = \frac{\frac{1}{4} }{\frac{1}{32} } = 8

(9)

The simplest way to evaluate the sum is to substitute k = 3, 4, 5, 6 into each term and sum them

(- 9 + 20) + (- 12 + 20) + (- 15 + 20) + (- 18 + 20)

= 11 + 8 + 5 + 2 = 26

4 Times the sum of a number and 6 is 5 less than 3 times the same number. write an equation and solve for the number
Vladimir [108]

Answer:

-29

Step-by-step explanation:

4× (x+6) = -5. + 3x

4 times the sum of a number is 5 less than 3 times the same number

4×(x+6) = 3x - 5

4x + 24 = 3x - 5

x = -29
