"The School of Athens" is a famous painting made using the fresco technique, this painting depicts philosophy and other concepts of Ancient Greece through important figures of the time. This masterpiece was created between 1509 and 1511 by the famous Italian artist Raphael, who was one of the most important artists during the Reinassance period from the 14th century to the 17th century. Indeed "The School of Athens" belongs to a set of paintings by Raphael that was used to decorate part of the Vatican. Thus, it was Raphael the artist that created the fresco "The School of Athens".
