In literature, parallelism is used to create literature as alluring and memorable. In parallelism, the grammatical part of the sentence is the same and similar in construction. An entire sentence or phrase can be repeated for example, 'I have a dream' repetition by King make his speech rhythmic and memorable. It is a great tool to persuade by repetition by sentence and making it memorable for the reader.

Therefore, the quote which uses parallelism is,

A."The capital was abandoned. The enemy was advancing. The snow was stained with blood." -Barack Obama, inaugural address

Herein, the quote is in parallelism because it uses a similar construction of the sentence, <em>'The...was...'</em>

Such repetition helps the listener to have in memory and is persuasive in nature.

In southern black culture, folktale retellings were a source of comfort.

Even though Southern blacks were not taught to read or write, they are still learned. They learn through the stories they have heard since childhood and they impart their learning by sharing these stories to their brood. The stories that were orally narrated were a source of comfort as well as the bond of continuity of the families from generation to generation.</span><span>
