1- Cease-fire agreement between North Vietnam and the United States: The Paris Peace Accords, were signed on January 27 of 1973 to put an end to the war in Vietnam. They were concluded between the United States and the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (North Vietnam), the Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam) and the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam formed by the National Front of release (Viet Cong).

2- Withdrawal of U.S. troops from Vietnam: On March 29, 1973, almost 46 years ago, the withdrawal of the last 4,300 US soldiers who fought in Vietnam, the most traumatic war in history for American public opinion, ended.

3- Fall of Saigon: The Fall of Saigon or Liberation of Saigon was the capture of the city of Saigon (present HoChi Minh City), capital of South Vietnam, by the National Liberation Front of Vietnam and the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on April 30th of 1975. This event marked the end of the Vietnam War and the beginning of a transition period that led to the reunification of the country the following year.

4- Surrender of South Vietnam to North Vietnam: After the fall of Saigon, in 1975, the Republic of South Vietnam assumed power and government for 15 months with the support of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam - Vietnam of the North. He assumed full control of the country after the victory of the northern forces at the end of the Vietnam War. In July of 1976, the Republic of South Vietnam and the Democratic Republic of Vietnam united in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
