The French Revolution was a failure because it didn’t result in a robust republic is unfair because it dismisses it’s other accomplishment. Napoleon Bonaparte became first consul of France in 1799, and emperor in 1804. In 1800, he declared the revolution to be over.

They were no longer able to use the Mississippi River to import and export supplies. Also the blockade made it even harder to import things like food ammo and guns also making the confederacy low on man power
