jolli1 [7]

Answer:

Provinces ruled by the British raj and states controlled by Indian monarchs

Explanation:

The period this map depicts was between 1858 to 1947. This was when British Raj was known as the Empire of the British Crown. It is often referred to as part of the British Empire.

The area was specifically ruled by the administrators from the United Kingdom on behalf of the Crown. This area covers modern-day India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Burma.

The other part is referred to as Princely states and it was ruled over by the Hindu Kings, who are still subject to the British government.
