The US decided to invade Iraq because of 9/11. Iraq was rumored to have been harboring known and dangerous terrorists and weapons that could potentially be used against the US. I believe that by invading Iraq, the US not only declared the war on terrorism, but they also put many enemies against both countries. While making enemies against the US may have not been the most brilliant idea, I do believe that invading Iraq was worth it because it helped ensure a safer country.
