What actions led to the Growth of Aztec Culture? 15 points PLEASE HELP
Law Incorporation [45]

The Aztecs were a Pre-Columbian Mesoamerican people of central Mexico in the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries. They called themselves Mexica. The Republic of Mexico and its capital, Mexico City, derive their names from the word "Mexica".

The capital of the Aztec empire was Tenochtitlan, built on raised island in Lake Texcoco. Mexico City is built on the ruins of Tenochtitlan. The Spanish colonization of the Americas reached the mainland during the reign of Huey Tlatoani , Moctezuma II (Montezuma II). In 1521 Hernan Cortes and an allied army of American Indians that far outnumbered the defending Aztecs, conquered the Aztecs through germ warfare, siege warfare, psychological warfare, and direct combat.

According to their own history, when the Mexicas arrived in the Anahuac valley (Valley of Mexico) around Lake Texcoco, the groups living there considered them uncivilized. The Mexicas borrowed much of their culture from the ancient Toltec whom they seem to have at least partially confused with the more ancient civilization of Teotihuacan. To the Mexicas, the Toltecs were the originators of all culture; "Toltecayotl" was a synonym for culture. Mexica legends identify the Toltecs and the cult of Quetzalcoatl with the mythical city of Tollan, which they also identified with the more ancient Teotihuacan.

The center of the Aztec civilization was the Valley of Mexico, a huge, oval basin about 7,500 feet above sea level. The Aztec empire included many cities and towns, especially in the Valley of Mexico. The largest city in the empire was the capital, Tenochtitlan.

Choose one of these issues to research:
Ulleksa [173]

What is your chosen issue? My chosen issue is bullying.

Why is this issue a problem in your state or local area ? Bullying in many countries is a big problem. In Peru statistics are not so clear but when you read the news you notice that number of students beiing bullied is increasing. This goes from physical agressions to insults. Fortunately there is awareness of the problem and most of the people know that has to be stopped.

What government agencies and citizen groups would likely to address this issue?

There are many things that can be done for example parents, school staff, and other adults in the community can help children prevent bullying by talking about it. Also, it is a good idea to build a safe school environment, and create a community-wide bullying prevention strategy.

What is the ultimate goal to address the issue? The ultimate goal must be zero bullying and to do that it is necessary team work I mean parents, authorities, the school system must be involved and to know that the problem is solved it is important to use statistics to monitor the issue.

What are the public policy alternatives to address the issue? The public alternatives are working very hard in creating a strategy to overcome the problem. The strategy can be designed to give psychological help to the victims and to give lectures in schools and also to monitor the problem with statistics.

What is one positive outcome  and one negative outcome for each possible policy alternative?

One positive alternative is that the strategy ends up solving the problem one negative alternative is that victims probably end up having psychologycal problems or maybe phisical injuries if bullying is not attacked with a good strategy.

What is the best plan to get the policy enacted?

It has to be team work, I mean eveybody has to be involved and it has to be a good strategy for the short and the long run.

How can citizens get involved to help enact the policy? Parents, children and aurhorities must create awareness that a problem like this exist and must be solved.
