Answer:

x=1×10−4

Step-by-step explanation:

we have

ph=5+logx -----> equation A

The pH of a given solution is the negative log base  10  of the concentration of hydrogen ions,  H+

so

ph=-log[H+]

In this problem we have the concentration of hydrogen ions

[H+] =0.1 M

That means that the pH of the solution will be

ph=-log[0.1]

Rewrite

ph=-log[10^-1]

ph=-(-log10)

Remember that

log10=1

substitute

ph=-(-1)

ph=1

substitute the value of ph in equation A and solve for x

1=5+logx

logx=1-5

logx=-4

applying property of logarithms

x=10^{-4}

Answer:

  135°

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to answer the question, we must assume that the black lines are parallel to each other.

The given angles (2, 8) are "same-side (consecutive) exterior" angles, so are supplementary.

  ∠2 +∠8 = 180°

  15x +5x = 180°

  x = 180°/20 = 9°

  ∠2 = 15x = 15(9°) = 135°

Angles 2 and 3 are vertical angles, so angle 3 has the same measure as angle 2.

  ∠3 = 135°
