This influenced me from a young age not to destroy any reflective surfaces as we had a lot of those in the house. I believed that my parents tried to influence me/ tell me at a young age was so that feared of one day falling into misfortune which luckily never happened. I started to finally not believe the superstition when I opened my locker and my mirror fell and was everywhere and weeks past and nothing bad happened.
