Mathematics

Check the picture below.

since the figure has two pairs of parallel sides, tis a parallelogram.

the area of a parallelogram is just base * height, in this case, the base is 12, and its height is "y" which is 7, so the area will just be 12 * 7.

now, the perimeter, well, we know what "z" is, so the perimeter will just be 12 + 7√2 + 12 + 7√2, or 24 + 14√2.

Since you are rounding to the nearest whole number, look at the digit in the tenth place. If it is 5 and greater, round up, if it is 4 and lower, round down

25.311 = 25
4.65 = 5

25 x 5 = 125

125 is your answer

hope this helps

What is the simplified form of 3/4x+3+21/8x^2-14x-15
creativ13 [48]

Solution:

We have been asked to find the simplified expression of

3/4x+3+21/8x^2-14x-15=\frac{3}{4x+3} +\frac{21}{8x^2-14x-15}\\ \\ \text{We will have to make the denominator equal to add}\\ \\ \ 8x^2-14x-15=8x^2+6x-20x-15\\ \\ \ =2x(4x+3)-5(4x+3)=(4x+3)(2x-5)\\ \\  \frac{3}{4x+3} +\frac{21}{8x^2-14x-15}=\frac{3}{4x+3} +\frac{21}{(4x+3)(2x-5)}\\ \\ =\frac{3(2x-5)+21}{(4x+3)(2x-5)}\\ \\ =\frac{6x-15+21}{(4x+3)(2x-5)} \\ \\ =\frac{6x+6}{(4x+3)(2x-5)} \\
