The larger the state by population, the more representative they get in the House of Representatives, so therefore the smaller states were outnumbered in the House of Representatives and didn’t have as much say in stuff.
The Western states populations were also going way up (like California), so that could be a reason.

How would life in the United States be different if the U.S. did not trade with people in different countries around the world?

Answer: IF the U.S did not trade with other countries our clothes wouldn't have even been made out of cloth, our furniture quality wouldn't be that good (most furniture that is good quality says MADE IN CHINA and not MADE IN U.S). Most of the cars we ride today we probably
