Blockades blocked the south from getting any supplies or weapons. They were surrounded and could not keep a fair fight. Lee knew this, thus leading to the surrender at Appomattox Courthouse.

The North prevail in the war because it had more soldiers, more advanced technology, more money, better railroads so they could transport munition and goods easier and also a united army which had a united tactic which eventually was Total War.

The South was divided, they did not have a united army, each army had its tactics. Also, the south had little to none railroads, they had a hard time transporting goods and ammunition. Also, the South was more agricultural, so they had worse technology. The South would have won the war if it did not lose important battles and lost the Mississippi.

Which religious movement began in the 1500’s as a protest against abuses in the christian church??!!
vredina [299]
Reformation was a religious movement of the 1500's that led toProtestantism. It had a tremendous impact on social, political, and economic life. Its influences are still felt today. The movement began in 1517 when Martin Luther, a German monk, protested certain practices of theRoman Catholic Church.

Over the centuries there had been many reform efforts within the Catholic Church, most notably a series of largely unsuccessful church councils. Popular support existed in some quarters for simplifying worship services and requiring a more dedicated clergy.

In 1517, in one of the signal events of western history, Martin Luther, a German Augustinian monk, posted 95 theses on the church door in the university town of Wittenberg. That act was common academic practice of the day and served as an invitation to debate. Luther’s propositions challenged some portions of Roman Catholic doctrine and a number of specific practices.

How did attitudes in the south toward slavery change after the invention of the cotton gin?
Katyanochek1 [597]
The south approved slavery because slaves were useful to them on their cotton farms. However, after the invention of cotton gin many saw that they didn’t need to slaves to work for them on the cotton fields anymore as it was easier to own a machine which would do the work instead. They saw the slaves as pointless and impractical after the invention.
