Prohibition, the attempt to halt the sale and consumption of alcohol in the 1920's, was unsuccessful. Americans continued to buy and drink alcohol supplied through a wide network of organized crime.

As a result America had to face crop, insuarance and banking failures together with drops in the price of the cotton and the stock market and a crisis of credit and cash. It brought what was known as the economic panics.

I believe that European monarchies sought to consolidate and maintain the power (political, religious, and economic) of their rulers (the monarchs). They did this by passing laws, mandates, and regulations that were designed to allow for governmental autonomy, that is, to ensure that the will of the monarch was not challenged by the citizenry, religious groups, or philosophers and scientists.

<span>So, saying "Abortion isn't really killing since its not an actual baby" is NOT a valid argument because abortion is just as morally wrong as killing
