Answer:

As the name implies networking sites are designed to encourage and promote interaction between people who may or may not be in the same geographical space.

For students those interactions would most likely involve exchange of ideas and information.

Therefore the best answer is A).

When students interact socially with others there is a multiplier effect as information is exchanged. More solutions to problems are created and leaning is accelerated.

How do the details about Guyana reveal the author's
vazorg [7]

The excerpt :

Eventually, I visited Guyana to find out the fate of our house. As our car passed old sugar estates, and I saw the palm trees bending against the wide sky, the lush cane growing in thick, shiny rows, the villages, which were really parcels of land surrounding the important estates, I realized that sugar had been the entire reason for this country's existence. Every now and then an old boiling house—where the cane is processed into crystals, molasses, and rum—would show itself on the flat landscape, cropping up like a hulking ghost

Answer:

They show that the author wants to inform readers by describing the old sugar estates.

Explanation:

From the excerpt Given, we could infer and conclude that the authors purpose as revealed by the details of the excerpt is to inform readers about the description of the old sugar estate. Even though the excerpt began with the author saying he wants to discover the fate their house, the main excerpt only covers details and description of the old sugar estate by giving an insight on how much sugar estate has grown and it being a main feature of the area.

In a well-structured paragraph, describe a personal connection you have with a text of your choosing. Be sure to name the
qwelly [4]

Answer:

This question requires a personal answer. I will give you an example so that you can relate it to a story that you have read.

Explanation:

The text I choose is "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky.

I have had a special connection with this story since in many ways I resemble the protagonist. His name is Charlie, and he is a person who finds it difficult to make friends and has problems being in society since he is very shy and is usually afraid.

He has suffered traumas that prevent him from being more outgoing with his peers. I felt identified since many times fear also makes me be a shy person who sometimes prefers to "be invisible".

The Apology of Socrates
swat32
"Freedom of speech" is the feature of modern Western thoughts that is most influenced by the practices of Socrates. Socrates was born on 469 BC and died in 399 BC. Freedom of speech is the power gioven to coomon people to exercise their right to speak and share ideas without the fear of any retaliation from the Government. Although government tries to restrict this freedom of speech under certain conditions like using slang, obsenity, copyright violations, trade secrets and variety of other cases. Certain speech codes that are applied in State schools also restricts the freedom of speech.

Socrates was a great believer in democracy. He was of the opinion that the people possessed real knowledge and all good things were within the people. So he believed that democracy was the only way to gain happiness. Plato on the other hand did not believe in pure democracy, but he believed in Republic Democracy, which is a mixture of democracy and oligarchy.
