USS Maine sent to Cuba in 1898 to bring diplomats to end the Cuban revolution.(b)

Further Explanations:

Cuban Revolution was an armed revolution headed by Fidel Castro’s. It was initiated on 26th July 1953 against the military dictatorship of Cuban president Fulgencio. The rebel continued until the dethroning of Batistanad replacing his government with revolutionary socialist states. All this started in the course of the Spanish – American war, where Americans got the authority over many provinces of Cuba.

The war lasted for a passe of ten weeks and was battled in the Caribbean and Pacific. After the Naval forces of the United States got into the war, Madrid ordered most of its modern fleet to guard Spanish borders. The Treaty of Paris emerged out as the resolution to the combat. Many discussions were done which ultimately benefited the United States for example they got governance over Cuba temporarily.

This setback was considered a big beating for Cuban as the citizens of Cuba started a revolution against the government. The involvement of the US navy in the war altered the relationship between America and Cuba and also triggered the Cuban Revolution.

Why did the U.S. become involved in Afghanistan?
lesya [120]
The earliest involvement would be because of the cold war.
In the past, the soviet union was having an interest to make Afganistan one of their ally (due to high value of natural resource that Afghanistan has)
To handle this situation, united states Give a supply of weapons, soldiers and financing to the group that stand in opposition of Soviet Union's influence. But after the opposition manage to get rid of soviet influence, a new group called taliban started to control that region and ending up in a mess that we see today.
