Answer:

Zaroff is trying to convince Rainsford that his "sport" is natural.

Explanation:

The statement is from "The Most Dangerous Game", which is a short story written by Richard Connell.

The story is about Zaroff and his friend Rainsford who are game hunters.

Rainsford does not care about his prey. He believes its all about hunting, killing, and skins - a game. When Rainsford accepted to have an experience of Zaroff's game, he lost his personality and started behaving like Zaroff majorly at thinking. This made him a terrible killer who latter killed Zaroff in the end.

So with the statment, Zaroff was trying to convince Rainsford that nature is all about being smart and fast. So as not to fall a victim - huntee.

I had nothing in harmony with Mrs. Reed or her children…

I believe the correct answer is B. Jane discovers she is different from Mrs. Reed.
The way I interpret her phrase 'I had nothing in harmony with...' is that it means that she had nothing in common with those people, she didn't really get along well with them, and that she is completely at odds with such people, which is why I'd choose option B.

AURORKA [14]

Answer: A. It Is the specific idea the passage focuses on.

Explanation: The specific notion that a passage concentrates on is the primary idea of that passage. It is the most essential idea in the passage that the author discusses. It frequently appears in the first few paragraphs of the passage and is repeated at the end. The fundamental idea provides the paragraph meaning and direction, and it is frequently mentioned in other parts of the piece for clarification.

What’s the most effective change the writer could make to improve the coherence of this paper?
Fittoniya [83]

Predictable Paragraph Organization: To maintain optimal coherency, organize paragraphs in the way that readers are accustomed. For example, unless there is a compelling reason to do otherwise, place the topic sentence in the first position of the paragraph. The topic sentence appears in the first position of the paragraph 80% of the time in expository writing. Because of this high percentage, readers expect the main idea of the paragraph to be in this position. Similarly, the thesis statement appears 50% of the time as the last sentence in an essay introduction, so follow this practice as well.

Additionally, the Ancient Greeks developed the rhetorical rules for our writing, and these rules dictate that the most important idea in any communication needs to be stated first. Organize paragraphs with customary and traditional structures to be considerate to your reader.
