After the Russian Revolution, Vladimir Lenin became the leader of Russia.

Vladimir Lenin was a Russian revolutionary politician and he served as the hearing of the government between 1917 to 1924. Under this order, orthodox churches were to be nationalized and redistributed to the peasants by the local governments.<u> He also issued the declaration of rights and that stated that non-Russian ethnic groups who were living inside the Russian republic had all the rights to secede from Russian authority and are free to establish their independent nation-states.   </u>
