The Empress Theodora. Theodora was the wife of Justinian I who was crowned Emperor of the Byzantine Empire in 527 AD. As his wife, she ruled by his side, as his partner, and her intelligence helped to advance the Empire.
Time zones first came about by that American railroads maintained many different time zones during the late 1800s. Operators of the new railroad lines needed a new time plan that would offer a uniform train schedule for departures and arrivals. Four standard time zones for the continental United States were introduced on November 18, 1883.
The Supreme Court had been striking down New Deal Programs as unconstitutional. Before Roosevelt introduced this plan, the Supreme Court have rejected many elements of his New Deal plan because the authority held by the Executive was too much and considered unconstitutional. He thought that by adding more justices to the Supreme Court, it would protect his legislation. Still it was rejected by both liberals and conservatives.
This was forming a goverment that was strong enough to gain loyalty of its citizens but not so strong as to estrange them
