There are a lot of Spanish speaking people in America. Not only that, it could be very useful in any career, even one as simple as a fast food restaurant. I used to work at McDonald's and we had Mexicans coming in all the time, and it was a lot easier to communicate with them since there were a few people who knew Spanish. It's also valuable if you have siblings. My sister and I practically use it as a secret language if we don't want others to know what we're saying.
